🧭 The Weekly Compass
A weekly dose of possibility and grounded action from Michelle & Kent of the Frenchitivity Family
This Week's Direction
This week, I found myself sitting in a familiar space—
wanting clarity… and not quite having it yet.
There are moments where you feel ready for what’s next,
but the next step hasn’t fully revealed itself.
In the past, I would have tried to solve that quickly.
Figure it out. Force direction. Create certainty.
But this time feels different.
Instead of pushing for an answer,
I’ve been practicing something much quieter—
And then, this week, something simple…
and unexpected… shifted everything.
I went for a walk with a friend.
We were catching up on life—sharing, supporting, laughing—
just being together.
We took a new route, one we hadn’t walked before.
Eventually, we came to a clearing.
To the left, there were stairs—but they were blocked off with caution tape.
We paused. Looked. Considered our options.
It had just started to drizzle.
Just to the right of the stairs, there was a grassy slope.
Not perfect. Not clearly marked.
But it looked manageable.
So we went for it.
We made our way up the hill and continued on, not thinking much of it.
But on our way back…
we saw something we had completely missed.
Just to the right of where we had been standing earlier—
around the path, beyond where we had focused—
was a winding sidewalk.
Perfectly laid out.
Clear. Supported. Designed for exactly where we were trying to go.
We hadn’t even noticed it.
We had been so focused on:
the blocked stairs,
the caution tape,
the question of “should we or shouldn’t we?”
that we missed the path that was already there.
And in that moment, we both felt it.
That quiet, unmistakable recognition—
there are always more options than we think.
The first path worked.
We made it up the hill.
But the second path…
felt aligned. Easeful. Intended.
We just had to be aware enough to see it.
And open enough to take it.
As the rain began to fall more steadily,
we walked that path with a kind of clarity that only comes in moments like that.
Cleansed. Present. Certain in a different way.
Take it as you will—
but the signs are everywhere.

🎧 The Frenchitivity Podcast, Episode 16: Reflection
This week’s conversation feels especially fitting.
After months of sharing the stories of other families,
we turned inward and reflected on our own journey—
what it really took to step away from the life we knew
and into something completely different.
We talk about:
- The questions we had to answer before leaving
- The uncertainty we had to sit with
- And how we moved forward even without having it all figured out
If you’re in a season of questioning, transition, or possibility—
this episode will meet you there.

Compass Shift
This week, try this:
Instead of asking, “What’s next?”
try asking:
“What feels aligned right now?”
Not the full plan.
Not the perfect answer.
Just the next best step.
Because clarity often doesn’t come all at once—
it reveals itself through movement.
✨ Closing
If this resonated, please forward it to someone who’s been on your mind.
And if you’re feeling the pull toward something more—we see you. You’re not alone in that.
